Yeah, we’re all pretty dang happy to have another Muppet movie on the horizon. But there’s one thing we’re not all quite as crazy about: The title “The Muppets… Again“.
Okay, so “The Muppets” wasn’t the best title either. To paraphrase Commissioner Gordon, it wasn’t the movie title we deserved, but the movie title we needed. It was simple and it made it difficult to talk about on websites like this when trying to differentiate from the Muppets and The Muppets (and referring to it as “the Muppet movie” made it that much more confusing).
I guess we shouldn’t be too surprised with the sequel’s title. It’s as bare-bones as the previous one, but with the not-quite-a-joke of “…Again“. It’s been pointed out that it worked for movies like Cheech and Chong’s Next Movie and Fletch, Too, but maybe we demand a little extra from our Muppet films.
That’s why we asked the ToughPigs forum members to offer up their suggestions for better titles. And of course, they’re all hilarious.
