Earlier this week, the official Sesame Street Twitter feed gave us a nice little surprise: A new version of their most classic book, updated for the times. Somehow, Grover found his way onto the internet and discovered that there is a monster at the end of this Twitter conversation.
We’ve compiled all of the tweets in the series, so if you don’t use Twitter (or if you just don’t want to view them in reverse order), you can check out the entire saga below, which includes a surprise cameo (is that even possible on Twitter??) by Wil Wheaton:

Grover: WHAT DID THAT SAY?
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: That tweet, did it say there was a MONSTER at the end of it?
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: It did? Well, please do not retweet that tweet!
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: YOU RETWEETED THE TWEET!

— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: Listen, I have an idea.
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: If you do not retweet any more tweets, we will never get to the end of this twitter conversation…
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: … and that is good, because THERE IS A MONSTER at the end of it.
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: (so please do not retweet this tweet!)
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: YOU RETWEETED IT AGAIN! pic.twitter.com/A4kMTsSO
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: Maybe you do not understand. You see, by retweeting these tweets…
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: … you bring us closer to the end of this Twitter conversation.
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: And there is a MONSTER there…
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: … and I, furry, adorable old Grover, do not–
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: WHY ARE YOU STILL RETWEETING?!!?! pic.twitter.com/cnuknRhQ
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: You do not know what you are doing to me.
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: Now… stop retweeting, okay?
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: AAAAAAAAAH @WILW WHY DID YOU RETWEET THAT? pic.twitter.com/qKX6Sd5z
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: Okay.
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: One more retweet, and we will be at the end of this Twitter conversation.
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: And to remind you, there is a MONSTER at the end of it.
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: And we do not want monsters on Twitter, now, do we?
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: So please… please… stop retweeting!
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: Please?
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: Well… look at that. This is the end of the conversation and the only one here is ME! pic.twitter.com/C3Jxs9pQ
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: I, lovable, furry old Grover am the Monster at the end of this twitter conversation!
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: And _you_ were so scared!
— Sesame Street (@sesamestreet) January 30, 2013
Grover: (Oh, I am so embarrassed…)
