D23, Disney’s own fan convention to celebrate itself, has just announced its full schedule of panels and events. We’re pleased to see that they remembered that they own the Muppets this year, and a special panel will be held to honor Miss Piggy!
The full event will take place on August 9-11 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. Among the many panels will be The Muppets 70: A Glamorous Miss Piggy Retrospective. The description of which is as follows:
Join Walt Disney Archives Director Becky Cline and The Muppets Producer Dani Iglesias for a fabulous look back on the past 70 years of the Muppets, but mostly Miss Piggy! We will dive into the vaults to uncover nostalgic artifacts along with how we preserve this collection today!
There’s no word if Miss Piggy herself will be in attendance, but if she is, we expect a fashionably late entrance and a gorgeously flippant attitude.
Miss Piggy’s spotlight will take place on Friday, August 9th at 12:45pm on the Walt Disney Archives Stage.
