Just this past fall, The Masked Singer had a “Muppet Night,” which basically amounted to the Muppets showing up a bunch of times throughout the episode and no Muppet songs being sung. I guess that went over well enough because the new season will be following that up with a “Sesame Street Night!”
The Season 9 First Look trailer gives a small glimpse of what we can expect, with quick shots of Elmo and Tango, and a brief talking-head piece with Big Bird. Will they do some Sesame Street songs on the show? Will that Leprechaun turn out to be Herbert Birdsfoot? We will find out whenever the episode airs, which has not been announced yet, but we’ll keep you posted when we find out!
