I’m sure Indiana Jones would agree: Sesame Street’s classic music belongs in a museum.

The folks at The Library of Congress agree!  The greatest hits album Platinum All-Time Favorites is being entered into the National Recording Registry, along with albums by Radiohead, The Doors, The Righteous Brothers, and Muppet Show guest stars Steve Martin and Joan Baez.

As a reminder, here’s the track listing for the album.  All of these songs will be preserved for all eternity.  I’m pretty sure that’s what the Library of Congress does, right?

  1. The Sesame Street Theme
  2. ABC-DEF-GHI
  3. The People in Your Neighborhood
  4. Rubber Duckie
  5. Elmo’s Song
  6. Doin’ the Pigeon
