Before You Leap was a 2006 book presented as a faux-memoir written by Kermit the Frog (sorry if I’m shattering the illusion, there), detailing his career in show business and life advice. I’ll admit, I’ve never read it, but I can only assume the later half is full of things like “Mosquitoes are a bad midnight snack.” Anywho, the book was reprinted in 2012 with some changes, trying to catch that Muppet fever instilled by the Jason Segel movie. Now, with the 70th anniversary on the horizon, it’s time to try and catch that fever again.
A new edition of the book is prepped for release on April 22, 2025, just in time to celebrate the anniversary of Kermit’s debut on the small screen. This reprint again promises some new and revised contents; I’m sure they’ve come up with even more jokes about lily pads since 2012.
