For reasons unknown, Seinfeld co-creator and celebrity curmudgeon Larry David has attacked Elmo on live TV. Elmo, seems to have sustained no permanent injuries.
Earlier today on Today, both Elmo (along with his dad Louie) and Larry David appeared. Elmo was there to talk about his recent kindness campaign, while David was there to discuss his television show where he’s a grumpy guy who makes bad decisions. So David acted grumpy and made a bad decision, which included smooshing Elmo’s little face.
As you’ll see in the video below, Elmo handled the incident professionally, and David seemed forced into making a public apology.
It’s almost a shame that David seems committed to ending Curb Your Enthusiasm with this upcoming season, because this appearance is as good or better than anything he could’ve come up with.
