If every bed George Washington slept in could be declared a national treasure, then by golly the same should be said of Jim Henson.

English Heritage has announced that Jim Henson’s UK home in North London’s Hampstead will be honored with the blue plaque seen above. If you ever find yourself in the area, just find 50 Downshire Hill, and you’ll be in the same place where Jim spent many years of his life, beginning in 1979 during The Muppet Show days. And there’s a plaque to prove it.

In related news, Rowlf the Dog made a surprise appearance on the BBC to be interviewed about the plaque and his connection to Jim Henson. You can watch the video below. (And thanks to YouTube user Compucolin for uploading!)
