Jim Henson has likely posed for thousands of pictures, but almost all of those only involve his elbow to his hand. It must’ve been an extraordinary experience for photographer Norman Seeff to get the chance to take photos of Jim, not as Kermit or Rowlf or Ernie, but as Jim.
A pair of fantastic videos fell into our laps recently. They’re from Seeff’s photo session with Jim Henson, in which the camera snaps away while Jim talks about the craft of puppetry. They’re simply fascinating.
The first video, which clocks in at three minutes, is unfortunately not embeddable, so you’ll have to click here to watch it on the Curiosity Stream website.
The second, much shorter version, at just about 30 seconds, is below.

Isn’t that just wonderful?? We’ll never get enough of finding stuff like this. Especially something that gives us new insight directly from Jim himself.
