[ Waldo C Graphic, the “spirit of computer animation” from MuppetVision 3D, flies in to help. ]
Waldo
Kermit! I think I can help. [ He spins around, and turns into a doctor, with a red cross on his side. ] Prepare for surgery!
Kermit
Waldo, what are you going to do?
Waldo
I’m going in!
[ Waldo flies through Digit’s ear, into his head. ]
Kermit
Waldo!
Waldo
[ from inside Digit: ] Not now, Kermit! I’m going to try to jump start him!
[ We hear an engine starting up. ]
Digit
Kerr-rrr-mit. Kerr-rrr-mit. Kerr-rrr-mit.
[ Digit coughs and sputters; the engine doesn’t turn over. ]
Lindy
Waldo? Where are you now?
Waldo
I’m in a big room, with lots of dusty file cabinets and cobwebs!
Kermit
Where’s that?
Lindy
I think Waldo’s made his way into Digit’s brain… See if you can find the motor reflexes!
Waldo
Is this it?
[ Another grinding sound. Digit shakes and whirrs, then falls down on the floor. ]
Lindy
Right above that should be the emotion control.
[ Waldo pushes another button. Digit jumps up and starts singing passionately to Kermit. ]
Digit
Fee-eelings! Whoa – oa – oa, feeelings… wish I’d never met you, girl…
Kermit
Turn it down! Turn it down!
Waldo
I’m drawing a blank, guys! Can you zap me outta here, Lindy?
Lindy
No problem — I’ll just hit this yellow translator button, and it’ll beam you right out!
[ Lindy pushes the yellow button… and suddenly, Kermit and Lindy are zapped into a bubble that heads toward Digit’s head. ]
Lindy
Whoa — or beam us in!
[ Kermit and Lindy’s bubble takes them into Digit’s ear. ]
Lindy
Hey!
Kermit
Help! … Hey, listen, if you can’t get us out, watch the Fashion Dolls sketch on monitor 8!
[ On the monitor, a little girl named Amanda is playing with her dolls. She places her new Bootsie doll in her dollhouse. ]
Amanda
Okay, Bootsie, here’s all the stuff you need for a whole new adventure!
[ Her dog Foo-Foo barks. ]
Amanda
Brad‘s going to be so surprised!
Brad
C’mon on, Bootsie! I’m going nutty! Let me see your new outfit.
Bootsie
[ behind the screen: ] I’m getting dressed, Brad! [ zip, zip ] This one’s a little — [ zip ] — complicated… [ zip, zip, zip-zip, clank, whirrr ] So cool your retro rockets, and get ready for… Reach For The Stars Bootsie!
Brad
WOW! I’d sure like to blast off with you, Boots! Catch that swingy space helmet!
Bootsie
And how about this dreamy Bootsie life support system?
Brad
Well… I guess it’s pretty nice.
Bootsie
Hey — why so glum, Brad?
Brad
I was just thinking… Here you are — Bootsie, the fashion model — Bootsie, the career girl — Bootsie, the astronaut! With all those high-powered careers, when are you going to find time for me?
Bootsie
Yes, I do have fabulous careers, Brad — and a wardrobe to go with each one! But there’s one thing I need to make every outfit complete.
Brad
What’s that, Bootsie?
Bootsie
You, on my arm.
Brad
Oh, Boots — and I was worried! Does this mean that we can be astronauts together?
Bootsie
Well, Brad, being an astronaut takes a lot of special training, and tailoring.
Brad
I could learn!
Amanda
Here, Bootsie, I made you a spaceship of your very own!
Bootsie
Okay, Brad… get ready for your first lesson, in my new Bootsie Reach For the Stars spacester!
Brad
Wow — kicky wheels, Boots!
Bootsie
Hop on!
Brad
Wow! This astronaut stuff is a gas!
Bootsie
Next time, I’ll show you how to push the button that fires those zippy turbo thrusters!
Brad
THIS button, Boots?
[ Brad pushes the button, and takes off in a cloud of turbo smoke. Amanda picks up the rocket and whizzes it around. Then she drops Brad. ]
Amanda
Whoops!
[ Brad falls onto the couch. ]
Brad
Wow — what a wicked ride!
[ Brad’s arm falls off. ]
Bootsie
Well, Brad — now you never have to worry about us being apart!
Brad
What do you mean, Boots?
Bootsie
Well, wherever I go, I can still hold your hand!
[ They laugh. ]
Brad
Wow. What a nutty chick!
