RIP Dinosaurs Star Jessica Walter

We are extremely saddened to learn that actress Jessica Walter, star of TV’s Arrested Development, has passed away.

In addition to her role as Lucille Bluth on Arrested Development, she also appeared on hit shows like Archer and Trapper John M.D., and she won an Emmy for the title role as Amy Prentiss, a spinoff of Ironside.

But of course, we remember Walter as the voice of Fran Sinclair, the matriarch of the family in The Jim Henson Company’s Dinosaurs. Appearing in every episode of the classic series, Fran balanced her role of being a responsible mother and wife with a load of exaggerated sitcom tropes. There was literally no one in Hollywood who could’ve handled this role better.

Thank you to Jessica Walter for giving us so many memorable television moments and for being a strong presence in the Henson world.
