You may have seen that The Muppets are beginning their 70th anniversary celebrations this week. Each week from now until December 2025, Muppets Studio will be showcasing a different character on their social media channels, both beloved and obscure, and they’ve kindly invited ToughPigs along for the ride!
So we’re launching a brand new podcast, ’70 Years, 70 Muppets’, where each episode we’ll discuss that week’s featured character! We’ve got a whole myraid of hosts lined up, each of whom will be tackling their episodes and characters in their own unique way. Sometimes they might have guests, other times they might be alone. Sometimes it might be normal, other times it might be chaotic! What else would you expect from a Muppet podcast?
Episodes will air Sundays from next week onwards, but we thought we’d launch episode 1 today as the celebrations begin!
For the inaugural episode, we’re celebrating Rowlf the Dog, and we’re joined by Muppet performers Peter Linz and Alice Dinnean – and… ERNIE!?
