Back in January
, we found out that The Jim Henson Company was working on The Musical Monsters of Turkey Hollow, a TV special based on a previously unproduced treatment by Jim Henson and Jerry Juhl which was recently adapted as a charming graphic novel by Roger Langridge.  Plans were afoot to film in Nova Scotia, Canada, with a cast of Henson puppets.

A few months later, we heard that the special was on hold, due to changes in Nova Scotia’s tax credit blah blah blahs.  But here’s some better news, courtesy Canada’s own Global News: Taping is set to begin in Vancouver next week, and the special is expected to air this coming (American) Thanksgiving!  Clearly, Vancouver rules, Nova Scotia drools.   Prolific director of Muppet and Henson stuff Kirk Thatcher will be at the helm, and a few days ago, he tweeted this:

Stay tuned to this website for more info as it develops.  This special could be the most pleasant part of Thanksgiving this side of mashed potatoes!
