Henson Company to Take on Hägar the Horrible

Hey, remember Hägar the Horrible? The comic strip about a viking with regular problems just like us? But he’s also a viking! Well, he’s taking his viking antics over to The Jim Henson Company for a new series.

The show will involve The Jim Henson Company’s digital puppetry technology, allowing for natural character interactions and (hopefully) a good amount of improv from the performers. We presume this means the entire series will be animated (ala Sid the Science Kid), but then again maybe Hägar will be an animated puppet in the real world instead? Who knows! He’s a viking – all rules are off!

As always with announcements from The Jim Henson Company, take this one with a grain of salt. The series may have an official press release, but Henson has a history of not following through with their projected productions.
