For the first time, we’ll be able to see Fraggles in high definition – the Gorgs will look gorgeous, the Doozers will be quite the doozy, and Marjory the Trash Heap will be marjestic.
In celebration of Fraggle Rock‘s 35th anniversary, Sony Pictures will be releasing the complete series on Blu-ray on September 25th. The set will cost $75.99, and it’s now available for pre-order.
The set will include 12 discs containing all four seasons of the show, as well as the complete animated series. The set will also include a booklet of behind-the-scenes photos and a cut-out Uncle Traveling Matt for selfie purposes.
The episodes are all remastered in HD video with lossless audio. That means full 1080p HD video and DTS-HD Master Audio sound! You’ll be able to see every bit of fur on Boober’s tail, and hear every one of Gobo’s “eh”s as if you were with him in Canada.
And that’s not all! The set will be loaded with bonus features! In addition to the previously released features, you’ll also get a rare behind-the-scenes video with Jim Henson, a 1993 appearance by Traveling Matt on The Today Show, and a sing-along feature with every song from the series. That’s over 100 songs!
