The annual Epcot Food and Wine Festival in Walt Disney World begins later this month. In addition to food and wine, there will also be Muppets! We like Muppets!
Specifically, Bunsen and Beaker are participating in the “Brew-Wing Lab” at the Odyssey Events Pavilion. I don’t know quite what this entails, so I’ll let the official words from the Disney Parks blog speak for me:
Don your lab coats and prepare to experiment with delicious flavors as Brew-Wing Lab at the Odyssey invites guests on a flavorful adventure, featuring the culinary creations – and madcap mishaps – of Muppet Labs!
That’s right – Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his faithful assistant, Beaker, of Muppet Labs will welcome you to their taste-testing headquarters, where the inventive duo are busy creating scientific snacks and mind-blowing beverages. You’ll have a chance to sample some of their kooky concoctions like the Unnecessarily Spicy, Yet Extremely Tasty Scotch Bonnet Pepper-Curry Wings, or the Pickle Milkshake. Consider it a flavor experiment in the name of science!
So, they’ve produced a new video announcing the event, which I assume means puppets will involved. Will they be on a large screen the whole time? Or appearing live pre-recorded audio like that Christmas bus show? Or maybe the Mobile Muppet Lab will come back! That would be nice. We’ll prepare our stomachs and found out when the Food and Wine Festival begins later in July. Until then, keep some edible paperclips nearby to tide you over.
