Kermit and Fozzie Featured in New Disney Emoji Game

Last week, Disney released their new app Disney Emoji Blitz.  Basically, it’s a kid-friendly version of Bejeweled, filled with Disney’s intellectual properties, including characters, accessories (i.e. Mickey’s shoes), and theme park items (i.e. Disneyland churros).  Usually these things skip over the Muppets (as they did in the Disney Infinity game), but look up there in the game’s icon!  That’s Kermit the Frog!

I downloaded the app to see what the deal was, and I discovered that not only is Kermit in the game, but so is Fozzie Bear!

In the game, you get to play with the emojis, which would be enough to satisfy me, but a cool extra feature is that when you unlock new ones, you’re able to use them as emojis on your phone!  Pretty cool!

Unfortunately, Kermit and Fozzie are both premium characters, meaning it’s much more difficult to unlock them.  I’ve been playing for a few days and I’ve only unlocked a few characters.  I guess I’ll keep playing until I get Kermit and Fozzie, which won’t be difficult because the game is pretty addicting.

Each of the emojis have special abilities too.  If you choose to feature Kermit, he does something with musical notes that allow you to clear other emojis on the game board.  If you choose Fozzie, flying tomatoes will help clear emojis.

As of right now, there are no Muppet-related accessories to unlock, but the app promises more of those to come, so there’s a slight possibility of even more Muppet representation in the game!

If you want to download Disney Emoji Blitz, click here to view it on the Apple App Store and click here to get it on the Google Play store.
