Every year, Dragon Con – Atlanta’s answer to Comic Con – continues to grow. And because they have a dedicated puppetry track, that means they get more and more Muppet and Henson-related stuff each year. Which is pretty great.
This year, Dragon Con is boasting some amazing guests. On the roster are:
- Lisa Henson – Henson Company CEO and President
- Toby Froud – Puppet designer and former Labyrinth baby
- Stacey Gordon – Performer of Julia on Sesame Street
- John Tartaglia – Muppet performer, all-around nice guy
- Martin Robinson – Performer of Snuffy, Telly, and Slimey on Sesame Street
- Annie Evans – Sesame Street writer
- Paul Rudolph – Sesame Street music composer and Vocal Music Director
And that’s not all! There are plenty of panels that are of interest to Muppet fans like us. For example:
- Lisa Henson: Creating Characters That Last
- The Froud Way of Bringing Characters to Life
- A Conversation with Lisa Henson
- The Dark Crystal: Expanding the World through Publishing
- The Dark Crystal: Making the Mystics
- Stacey Gordon: From Dragon Con to ‘Sesame Street’
- John Tartaglia: Puppeteer
- The Dark Crystal: Fandom Forever!
- Making Sesame Street
- And more!
For more details about each of these panels, including the times and locations, be sure to check out the Dragon Con Puppetry Track’s programming page.
And for those of you in the Atlanta area, have a great time at Dragon Con!
