Dave Goelz is a national treasure, and we at ToughPigs try to find a way to celebrate him each and every day. But I suppose “every day” might be a bit much for most people, so we’re excited to see Dave celebrated with a big event this fall in Atlanta.
The Center for Puppetry Arts will be hosting a celebration of Dave Goelz, honoring his 50 year career (and counting!) with the Muppets. The event, which will take place on September 6th, will feature a Q&A with the legend himself. They’ll also be debuting Gonzo puppet – wearing his iconic outfit from The Great Muppet Caper – that will take up residence in the museum until October 31st.
