The Best of Cher is a new DVD collection just released from Time Life. It features ten episodes of Cher’s 1970s variety show, and one of them happens to feature the Muppets! Isn’t that dandy?

The Muppets appeared in two episodes of the show back in 1975 (which we previously recapped here for your reading pleasure). This set features their second appearance on the show from November 16, which includes such highlights as “That Old Black Magic” with Sweetums, Kermit flirting with Cher while wearing a neat hat, and the wonderful performance of “Bein’ Green” by Kermit and Ray Charles.

The five-disc set is availible from Time Life for about $100, which sounds like a lot, but it’s half the cost of the deluxe edition collection (which has the same amount of Muppets, but much more Sonny Bono).
