Art Neville, keyboardist for The Neville Brothers, has passed away at the age of 81.

Neville was a founding member of the early funk band The Meters, then later joined his siblings, Charles, Aaron, and Cyril, to form R&B group The Neville Brothers, performing from 1977 to 2012. (Charles passed away last year.)

In 1993, Art, along with the rest of The Neville Brothers, appeared on Sesame Street to perform “Believe in Yourself,” which has also been covered by the likes of Diana Ross, Ray Charles, *NSYNC, and Michael Bublé. (Art is the one in the blue and purple space-themed shirt.)

The group also briefly appeared in the all-star version of “A New Way to Walk” that same year.
