Last week I had the chance to sit down with director, writer, puppeteer and Chairman of The Jim Henson Company Brian Henson. The Henson Company are bringing back their improvised live show Puppet Up for a run of dates in July, which are below, and tickets can be purchased here! I’ve seen the show multiple times and I can highly recommend it. This time they’re performing it at the Henson lot in LA, which is extremely difficult to get on to otherwise.
Join us as we discuss the shows origins, why swearing puppets can become boring fast, reenacting classic Muppet bits and how they choose their puppeteers. Plus, of course we talk about the drama of Muppet Christmas Carol, the stuff they couldn’t do in Muppet Treasure Island and the return of Sal Minella in Muppets Haunted Mansion!
Puppet Up dates:
FRIDAY, JULY 14, 8 PM
SATURDAY, JULY 15, 5 PM AND 9 PM
SUNDAY, JULY 16, 3 PM AND 7 PM
FRIDAY, JULY 21, 8 PM
SATURDAY, JULY 22, 5 PM AND 9 PM
SUNDAY, JULY 23, 3 PM AND 7 PM
