Ever since the end of season one of Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock, we’ve been impatiently waiting with bated breath for the premiere of a second season. The world built (and rebuilt) by the Fraggle Rock team for the soft rebooted series was utterly delightful, and we needed more of it. The sooner the better.
Apple has just announced that Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock‘s second season will be premiering on Friday, March 29th. Naturally, the season will be airing on Apple TV+. We don’t yet know if the entire season will be dropping at once, or if new episodes will be premiering on a weekly basis.
According to Apple, here’s a brief (and extremely vague) description of the upcoming season:
In the second season of the Emmy Award-winning series, “Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock,” the reboot of Jim Henson’s beloved classic “Fraggle Rock,” the Fraggles are back for more epic, fun adventures! This time, with big changes affecting the Rock, the Fraggles, Doozers and Gorgs will be forced to confront their past and celebrate their interdependence, as they move through challenges together with hope, silliness and brand new songs, all while dancing their cares away … down at Fraggle Rock.
The new season will also featuring celebrity guests such as Ariana DeBose (West Side Story), Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek), Muppet fanatic Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso), and the return of Daveed Diggs as Jamdolin the Troubador.
