In case you didn’t know, the Muppets and the holiday season go together like milk and cookies. Or holly and ivy. Or latkes and applesauce. So when Walt Disney World announced a new holiday event coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it only made sense that Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy would be involved!
The pair will host an all-new stage show at the Theater of the Stars during Disney Jollywood Nights, a separately -ticketed event (typically held outside of regular park hours, for those not familiar with theme park lingo) debuting later this year. Other Disney characters will be part of the variety show (another thing the Muppets are very familiar with!), including Belle from Beauty and the Beast and Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. Little else is known so far, though concept art posted by Scott Gustin on Twitter suggests that Miss Piggy will be getting a stylish Santa Claus-inspired outfit for the occasion, while Kermit will get a simple red scarf.
Disney Jollywood Nights will be held on select nights from November 11 to December 20.
