Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street hasn’t been given a wide release announcement yet, so we’re all jonesin’ for a behind-the-scenes look at our favorite educational television institution. While we wait, ABC and TIME Studios are hooking us up with a brand-new special – Sesame Street: 50 Years of Sunny Days!
The two-hour special will air on ABC on Monday, April 26 at 8pm. The program will give us a peak at the making of the show and the many social issues they’ve tackled over the years, including a feature on the newest characters Wes and Elijah.
And what’s a Sesame production without celebrity guests? Entertainment Weekly says the special will feature appearances by W. Kamau Bell, Gloria Estefan, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Whoopi Goldberg, Christopher Jackson, John Legend, Lucy Liu, Olivia Munn, Questlove, Chrissy Teigen, Usher, and more! So set your DVRs and don’t try to adjust your screen; the program is supposed to be fuzzy.
