As if Sesame Street doesn’t have enough Emmy Awards, they can now add another to their list. When You Wish Upon a Pickle: A Sesame Street Special just won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Children’s Program.
The special beat out Carmen Sandiego, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Song of Parkland, and Star Wars Resistance.
The Sesame special involves a magical wish-granting pickle, so it’s not incredibly surprising that they won. Obviously, they had magic in their corner.
Unfortunately, the only other Sesame-related nomination at this year’s Primetime Emmys – Eric Jacobson for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance – was not successful. Still, it’s an honor to be nominated. Or so we assume.
