When I heard the Muppets were working on a pilot for a new series, I was skeptical. Could we really be so lucky as to get our favorite characters on television every week once again? Then they announced that the pilot was a huge success, and the series had been picked up by ABC for the fall, but I still wasn’t convinced. They could be playing a big, cruel practical joke on us. Even the announcement of the time slot could have all been part of the ruse.
Well, I guess I’m convinced now, because ABC has released an official trailer for The Muppets! And it’s pretty funny! Watch this:

Trivia you probably already know: The eggheaded guy Kermit can’t seem to identify is Chip, who originally appeared on The Jim Henson Hour and was designed as a caricature of none other than Bill Prady, a producer of this new show. Everything is connected!
