Synergy!
Apparently the characters from Disney’s Phineas and Ferb have their own talk show now, called Take Two with Phineas and Ferb. And over on Entertainment Weekly‘s website, you can watch an episode featuring one of the world’s greatest movie stars, Miss Piggy. If you’ve ever wanted to see two cartoon characters interview a puppet, or if you’ve ever wanted to see a glamorous pig rapping, this is the video for you.
Due to the fact that everything but Piggy is animated, I’m guessing the interview was completely scripted, but it’s nice to see that she’s characterized as beloved superstar Piggy rather than getting-angry-and-hitting-people Piggy. The EW article reports that the segment will actually be shown on ABC during an airing of a Phineas and Ferb movie this Saturday, so presumably it’s all part of the ongoing plan to make sure young’uns know all about the Muppets by the time the movie comes out in November.
