Starting today, you can download classic episodes of Sesame Street on iTunes for your iPhone, iPad, and iEyeBalls. (That joke almost took a very dark turn…) “Sesame Street Classics: Volume 1” contains 12 episodes from seasons 1, 10, and 20. And if you buy all 12 episodes, you’ll get “Behind the Street: Volume 1”, a 25-minute bonus retrospective video with pop-up facts. Episodes are $1.99 a piece.
Also available right now is the brand new Sesame Street app starring the Yip-Yip Martians! The app is a soundboard with 78 different quotes from the alien duo, as well as an alarm clock and “Magic 8 Ball”-style game. It has 24 ways to say “Uh Huh”! 20 ways to say “Nope!” “Yipster” phrases like “Great local band, yip”, “Irony? Ooooh, irony!”, and “Earlier stuff better. Mmm hmm.” And other phrases like “Mazel Tov”, “Sup Dawg”, and “Oh Snap!” There are also expansion packs to download even more Yip-Yip sounds. The app costs $0.99.
