Ryan DosierĀ – Two of my favorite things in the world are the Muppets (duh) and Disney (also kind of duh, if you know about our sister site, The Mickey Mindset). The Muppets have been owned by Disney for over 10 years now, and it seems to me that they’ve missed one of the most obvious opportunities for merchandise and cross-promotion… The Muppets Sing Disney Songs. An album of Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, and the gang singing some of the classic Disney songs from their 80 years of animated features. Just imagine the possibilities! Below are just a few of the ideas I came up with for Disney songs that would be perfect for the Muppets.
- “Heigh-Ho” fromĀ Snow White and the Seven DwarfsĀ – Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem
- “When You Wish Upon a Star” fromĀ PinocchioĀ – Kermit the Frog
- “Curella de Vil” fromĀ 101 DalmatiansĀ – Rowlf the Dog
- “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” fromĀ Mary PoppinsĀ – Scooter and The Swedish Chef
- “The Bear Necessities” fromĀ The Jungle BookĀ – Fozzie Bear and Bobo the Bear
- “Topsy Turvy” from The Hunchback of Notre DameĀ – Gonzo and the Chickens
- “Under the Sea” fromĀ The Little MermaidĀ – Lew Zealand
- “Gaston” fromĀ Beauty and the BeastĀ – Rizzo the Rat and Link Hogthrob
- “Be Our Guest” fromĀ Beauty and the BeastĀ – The Muppets
- “Friend Like Me” fromĀ AladdinĀ – Gonzo
- “A Whole New World” fromĀ AladdinĀ – Kermit and Miss Piggy
- “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King (Prawn)” fromĀ The Lion KingĀ – Pepe the King Prawn and Sam Eagle
- “Be Prepared” fromĀ The Lion KingĀ – Constantine
- “Colors of the Wind” fromĀ PocahontasĀ – Kermit the Frog
- “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” fromĀ Toy StoryĀ – Kermit and Fozzie
- “Go the Distance” fromĀ HerculesĀ – Walter
- “Friends on the Other Side” fromĀ The Princess and the FrogĀ – Uncle Deadly
- “I’ve Got a Dream” fromĀ TangledĀ – The Muppets
