I hate to say “I told you so”, but I told you so.
Just a few weeks ago, we revealed to the world that a Muppet Babies reboot was on its way. We had character images and descriptions and a glimmer of hope in our eyes. Today, the official Muppets Twitter feed shared this:
Muppet Babies will make your dreams come true… again! Look out for new, reimagined #MuppetBabies adventures coming to @DisneyJunior in 2018. pic.twitter.com/FRuEhZ0u1q

And now we have confirmation! The new (and improved?) Muppet Babies will premiere on Disney Junior sometime in 2018. The characters, as you can see, will be CGI, and not hand-drawn like the original series.
We’ll stay alert to more news about the show, but if you want more unofficial news, see our previous announcement to read more about the expanded cast of characters, including the new Muppet baby Bobbi Baba and the updated (yet still headless) Nanny.
