The thing nobody tells you about exciting upcoming TV series is that it takes a really long time for them to be made. It feels like it’s been forever since we first heard that The Muppets Mayhem was being produced, and then we had to wait for scripts to be written, scenes to be shot, post-production to be completed, thumbs to be twiddled, and maybe someday we’ll even get a release date.
Thankfully, we’re one step closer to getting to see our favorite band grace our TV screens!
According to Executive Producer Adam Goldberg, the first season’s finale is now complete, and he expects the show to premier on Disney+ this May!
Get it? Mayhem in May? The marketing reports write themselves!
Of course, because we can’t just have nice things, we need to take this news with the tiniest grain of salt. Despite Goldberg’s position and inside knowledge, anything can happen between now and May. We expect that he knows what he’s talking about, and an official announcement from the Disney+ team will be coming soon, but for now this news remains a “we sure hope it’s true”.
