Sometimes we’re conflicted about what to say in our reviews. There are certain events that we would love to get excited about, but we have to hold back a bit in respect for the people who couldn’t attend. Jim Henson’s Musical World at Carnegie Hall was one of those things. (Read our detailed recap of the whole thing right here!) And believe me, if we could bring every one of you to a live Muppet show, we would. Sadly, my words are pretty much meaningless (as always), so you’ll have to make do with our descriptions, pictures, and videos.
Some Carnegie Hall attendees threw caution to the wind for your benefit! They risked getting evicted from the show by the Carnegie Hall staff by filming as much of the show as possible! And while the entire show hasn’t shown up online (yet???), we’ve found sixteen videos on YouTube of bits and pieces from the show!
So while it won’t do much to ease the pain of not being there in person, we hope this will be a nice consolation prize. If you know of any other videos online, please contact us and we’ll add it to this page!
Note: Skip to 2:19 for the Muppet content in the video below:
And finally, our buddy Dave Hulteen’s review of the show:
Many thanks to Dave Hulteen, the friends of Muppet Mindset and those brave bootleggers for risking life and limb to shoot these videos!
