We’re saddened to report that Raquel Welch has passed away at the age of 82. The Golden Globe-winning actress and worldwide sex symbol starred in a wide filmography that included such movies as Fantastic Voyage, One Million Years B.C., Bedazzled, and the 1974 adaptation of The Three Musketeers.

Of course, to Muppet fans, perhaps her most recognizable work his her guest starring role in season three of “The Muppet Show”, where she danced with a giant spider, called Fozzie Bear “sexsational,” and celebrated her femininity with Miss Piggy. Below, you can view Welch show off her musical talents from the episode in a trio of numbers, including the iconic “I’m a Woman.”

In addition to “The Muppet Show,” Welch’s first interaction with the world of Jim Henson was back on “Saturday Night Live,” where King Ploobis and Scred made unsuccessful romantic overtures to her in the show’s first season. She would later appear with Kermit the Frog in a photoshoot for Us magazine in 1978, as well as in the special “The Muppets Go Hollywood” the following year.

Obviously, Welch left an impression with the Muppets, as Kermit revealed in a “Sesame Street” segment from season 12, where he showed off an award he received for an interview he conducted with her. Welch’s time with the Muppets was unforgettable, and truly sexsational.
