Since Muppet Babies‘ debut in 1984, we have only seen Nanny as a pair of striped stockings, a bright pink skirt, and matching purple shoes and cardigan. For years, millions of fans have pondered what she looks like above the neck.
Is she attractive? Does she have a weird thing on her cheek? Does she sport a mohawk? Does she look exactly like my fifth grade teacher Mr. Harkey? Is she my real mom???
Finally, the good people at Disney Junior have decided to reveal the true face of Nanny. From here on, the mystery shall torture us no longer. Ladies and gentlemen, I bring to you – The Face of Nanny!
Of course! Nanny’s face is that of Cthulhu, he of the great power who lies in death-like slumber beneath the ocean in his sunken city of R’lyeh! For he is one of the Great Old Ones who lived in the ages before men, and who came to the young world out of the sky! That is not dead which can eternal lie; and with strange aeons even death may die! Come, Muppet Babies fans, chant with me! C’thulhu fhtagn! C’thulhu fhtagn! C’thulhu fhtagn!
