Muppet Guys Talking was great, wasn’t it? Just an hour of pure behind-the-scenes Muppet goodness.
Frank Oz has been having a pretty good time working on it, and starring in it, and talking about it in Facebook Live events and on TV. And the other day, he got to thinking, “What if the Muppet Guys had known each other when they were babies? Little Fran Brill… Little Dave Goelz…”
And then he had a daydream, in the form of an entire documentary featuring the Muppet Guys as babies. And next year, fortunately for us, he’s releasing his daydream to the fans online! Naturally, it’s called Muppet Guys Talking Babies. Here’s a screenshot from the trailer:
It looks like tons of fun, doesn’t it? According to Frank on Twitter, the topics that will be discussed in the film include:
- What it was like working with Baby Jim Henson
- The strange experience of being a baby working on a TV show aimed at preschoolers
- The challenges of being a Muppet performer and a baby, such as those days when shooting The Muppet Show ran long and interfered with the performers’ naptime
- Fun memories of working together on Muppet projects, including throwing food all over the set
Muppet Guys Talking Babies will be available next year only at MuppetGuysTalkingBabies.com. You can get the documentary only for 15 cans of strained peaches, or you can get the documentary plus access to a minute and a half of deleted scenes for 235 cans of strained peaches.
