Fozzie Bear’s trademark porkpie hat, in fruitful and productive periods of Muppet activity, has logged hours upon hours in front of the camera as it sits atop the noggin of the beloved Muppet. But where is Fozzie’s hat right now? What is it doing? We have the answer.
As of this writing, Fozzie’s hat is sitting in a puppet workshop or a warehouse somewhere, gathering dust. It is presently not sharing the screen with any of Fozzie’s fellow Muppets or with any notable guest stars, nor is it comically falling off his head at inopportune moments in hilarious incidents guaranteed to show up in an outtake reel later.
Fozzie’s hat has been to multiple countries. It has graced Fozzie’s cranium in countless talk show appearances, as well as numerous Muppet television episodes and feature films. One time he took it off so Jack Warden could tell him apart from Kermit. That was funny.
But to reiterate, currently the hat is gathering dust, which is what happens to a hat when it’s not being moved around on the head of an active Muppet bear.
