A blow has been dealt to Up Late with Miss Piggy’s advertising lineup, as the paint-your-own-pottery service Color Me Mine has decided to drop sponsorship after an alleged incident with a prominent Up Late staffer at a Color Me Mine store.
According to the chain’s spokesman, Sidd Finch, “while we understand the paint fumes can get to anyone, there is never an excuse to use inappropriate language in any Color Me Mine location. This includes words such as… and I apologize that I have to say this… ‘heck.’ While we don’t wish for this employee to be fired, we cannot in good conscience continue to support a show that encourages pottymouthery. We will not stand for that sort of malarkey or fiddle-faddle. As for the Up Late employee in question, we only hope that he gets the help he needs, and that he forgives Ken. At Color Me Mine, we believe life is too short to Carry Me a Grudge.”
There is no word yet as to whether or not this decision has put Color Me Mine on Miss Piggy’s list.
Stay tuned to Up Late with ToughPigs as we investigate further into this serious matter.
