Willie Nelson just shared the above photo on his social media, thus confirming that the country music legend will be appearing on The Muppets!  He’ll be bringing along his trademark braids and bandanna and the faint smell of autumn.

Naturally, he’s seen here with the Electric Mayhem.  We’re hoping he’ll be joining them for a jam session, but it’s just as realistic to assume that they’ll be making a “They’re always happy… legally now” joke or two.

Hardcore Muppet fans know that this isn’t the first Willie/Muppet crossover.  He appeared with Kermit the Frog at the Songwriters Hall of Fame awards in 2005, and he has covered “Rainbow Connection” twice: Once solo in 2001, and a second time with Gonzo for a Paul Williams album.  You can listen to the former (legally now!) below:

Don’t forget to tune in to The Muppets on Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c on ABC, and keep an eye out for Willie Nelson in one of the later episodes!
