In case you missed the news, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir will have some very special guests at their Christmas concert this year: The Sesame Street Muppets! The concert is sold out, and the choir has been teasing ticket holders by announcing the names of the participating Muppets one at a time. But now the final list is out, and it is: Big Bird, Cookie Monster, The Count, Elmo, Grover, Abby Cadabby, Rosita, Bert and Ernie. That’s almost as many Sesame Street characters as there are members of the choir!
For the past few days, the choir’s YouTube channel (Yes, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is on YouTube) has been posting videos of the Count hanging around the tabernacle, counting down the days until the first performance of the concert:
And hey, as of today, the first concert is tomorrow! I hope Big Bird wears a tie. I love it when he wears a tie.
