There’s no denying it, Tale of Sand, the graphic novel produced from a script by Jim Henson and Jerry Juhl, is a work of art, a national treasure, and an unprecedented piece of Henson history that we all should have on our shelves. So it’s little surprise that the Eisner Awards should recognize that.
Tale of Sand was nominated for a whopping five Eisner Awards! The categories are:
- Best Graphic Album
- Best Penciler/Inker – Ramon Perez
- Best Coloring – Ian Herring & Ramon Perez
- Best Lettering – Deron Bennett
- Best Publication Design – Eric Skillman
