Sesame Street and Muppet Babies Win More Emmys

Several Muppet-related programs were honored with Daytime Emmy Award nominations this year, and we’re pleased to see that a few of them actually won!  Okay, “pleased” isn’t the right word.  “Justified,” is more like it.

Sesame Street walked away with three wins (out of nine nominations).  Muppet Babies got a win too, for voice actor Ben Diskin (Gonzo and Rizzo).  Unfortunately, Sesame Workshop’s Esme and Roy didn’t win any, but the show is still new, and I’m sure they’ll have plenty more opportunities.

Here’s the full list of Muppet-related winners!

Sesame Street – Best Preschool Children’s Series

Sesame Street – Best Editing, Multi-Camera

Sesame Street – Best Sound Mixing

Muppet Babies – Ben Diskin – Best Performer in a Preschool Animated Program

Congrats to everyone nominated, and especially to the winners!
