We’re used to listing out the scads of Daytime Emmy nominations that Sesame Street receives every year, but it’s still a treat to see them on the big list for the Primetime Emmy Awards.

Last year, Sesame Street won an Emmy for the special Once Upon a Sesame Street Christmas, and this year their latest special, The Magical Wand Chase, received a nomination too!

They’re up in the “Outstanding Children’s Program” category against A Series of Unfortunate Events, Alexa & Katie, Fuller House, and Star Wars Rebels.  Sorry DJ Tanner, but Big Bird’s got this one in the bag.

The Emmy Awards ceremony will be held on September 17th on NBC, so stay tuned until then to find out if Cookie Monster is taking home another statuette!

As a reminder, here’s the trailer for the special, followed by our own coverage of the red carpet premiere of The Magical Wand Chase!
