The Hollywood Reporter is probably a pretty reliable source of entertainment news, right? They’ve been around for a long time, and their whole purpose is to report about Hollywood. It’s right there in the name.
So although this tidbit sounds like it’s still in the “this might maybe be in the realm of possibility” phase, we’re intrigued to read this THR item about Disney’s upcoming Netflix-style streaming service, in which they note that their sources tell them the service will feature “family-friendly fare” including “a reboot of the Muppets.”
This would be great news if it turns out to be true. The Muppets ABC series was just getting really good when it was cancelled, and a frequently-expressed sentiment among fans was that it would have been better off on a streaming platform. So… maybe this time!
And now here are many people to insist that they should just do a remake of The Muppet Show.
