As reported by Variety and various others, actress Charlotte Rae has died at the age of 92. Rae was best-known for her role as Mrs. Garrett on The Facts of Life, but folks who know a lot about Sesame Street will recall that before Facts — and even before Diff’rent Strokes — Rae was also a cast member on our favorite PBS series. She appeared on the show in season 3, from 1971 to 1972. She played Molly the mail carrier, who delivered all kinds of letters, including letters of the alphabet.
