Happy Pride Month, everybody! We’ve said it before: the Muppets and queerness have always gone together like Bert and Ernie. As a result, we’ve got some fun stuff planned for you all this month!

However, we also want to take this moment to remind you that things have become very scary for LGBTQ people around the United States. This is especially true for trans folks! We can’t sit idly by and watch that happen in our community, especially during this month that should be full of queer joy.

That’s why we’re proud to announce a special ToughPigs Pride Month fundraiser, which will run from now until June 26, 2023. We’ll be raising funds for trans-related charities by selling some fun Muppet-inspired pride merch.

First, we have two new pride-themed designs inspired by the queer Muppet fan community and designed by our own trans Tough Pig, Becca Petunia.

This one is called A Person in Your Neighborhood, inspired by the classic Sesame Street song and Becca’s article about Trans Day of Visibility.

Secondly, we have the Whatever shirt, available in a few design variations. Inspired by Ren Goetz’s Nonbinary Gonzo article, this is the perfect shirt for anyone who defies simple categories. For this month only, we also have it available both in rainbow and in the colors of the nonbinary flag.

Additionally, the design from our incredibly popular Muppet-inspired pride pin is now available as a t-shirt!

Like all of our TeePublic offerings, these are available on a variety of products, including shirts, mugs, stickers, and more! You’ll definitely find the perfect stuff to bring to whatever Pride festivities you’re going to.

As a special addition, we have restocked the aforementioned Kermit pride pins to our Etsy shop. These are in limited quantities, so grab them quickly!

For the duration of this event, all of the money we raise from merch with these designs and the pins will be donated to the following charities:

We know that queer people in the South are facing unprecedented hardships right now, and we want to help out where we can. The South was Jim Henson’s homeland. It can be a beautiful and amazing place, and we owe it to each other to help make it that way.

We encourage all of you to take a look at these charities and make your own donations as well.

Over the next few weeks, expect some other Pride-themed articles and surprises here. We’re excited to help our community and spotlight some of the queer people who make our world so special. Join us!
