Splashin’ Around with John Tartaglia

Muppet performer John Tartaglia is a busy guy.  Beyond his long career that includes performing on Sesame Street, The Wubbulous World of Dr Seuss, Dog City, Bear in the Big Blue House, Julie’s Greenroom, and even a stint as Fraggle Rock‘s Gobo Fraggle, he’s also working hard on several other projects with The Jim Henson Company.

One of his big projects these days is Splash and Bubbles, a digital puppet series on PBS Kids.  Tartaglia created the show and performs the lead character, Splash.  The show just released its first soundtrack album, “Rhythms of the Reef”, which is now available to purchase in stores and online.

In addition to Splash and Bubbles, we discuss Avenue Q‘s 15th anniversary and his upcoming Henson Company project Teddy Ruxpin.

In 2013, we sat down with Tartaglia for an in-depth interview about his history as a Muppet fan, his work on Sesame Street and Avenue Q, and his performances as Gobo Fraggle.  It’s a pretty fun interview – you can read that right here.

We hope you enjoy this chat with one of the nicest guys in the puppet world, John Tartaglia!

Many thanks to John Tartaglia for chatting with us, and thanks to Beth Blenz-Clucas for all your help setting it up!
