The results are in and the voting committee has spoken. Frank Oz is a Legend.
According to WDWToday, The Walt Disney Company has announced the newest batch of inductees to their exclusive and illustrious Disney Legends roster. Among the new recruits are luminaries such as Angela Bassett, Jamie Lee Curtis, Harrison Ford, and John Williams. And most excitingly, Frank Oz.
Frank is being honored for his long career intersecting with Disney-owned properties, most notably the Muppets and Star Wars.
In addition to receiving a beautiful award, Frank will also see his handprints immortalized in bronze and placed on display at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California. Time will tell if his plaque will be placed anywhere near Jim Henson’s, who was inducted as a Disney Legend in 2011.
