While we love celebrating the work of those who worked in front of the camera in various Muppet productions, we also admire the accomplishments of those behind the scenes.  Even those who we weren’t previously aware of, like Ezra Swerdlow.

Ezra Swerdlow served as the Production Manager for The Muppets Take Manhattan.  After this landmark in his career, he went on to work as a Producer on dozens of films, such as Spaceballs, Waiting to Exhale, First Wives Club, Zombieland, Ghost Town, and 21 Jump Street.  He worked closely with filmmakers like Mel Brooks, Woody Allen, and Martin Scorsese.

Unfortunately, we have learned that Ezra Swerdlow has sadly passed away.  He leaves behind a huge library of work, and we’re grateful for his contribution to the Muppets.
