As we recently reported, the folks at the Emmy Awards deemed some Muppet-related series and talented humans worthy of nomination. Unsurprisingly, they’re taking a few awards home! And we’re pleased to see that they’ve even won a few of the biggest awards of the year!

First, Sesame Street has won for Best Preschool Series, which is a category they’ve taken many, many times over the years.

Next, the very talented Ryan Dillon won an Emmy for Best Puppetry Performance. He was in a category with some equally incredible puppeteers, including Leslie Carrara-Rudolph, Frankie Cordero, Haley Jenkins, and Eric Jacobson. Good company!

Sesame Street also won Emmys for Outstanding Writing for a Preschool Program, Outstanding Directing for a Multiple Camera Program, and Outstanding Puppet Design and Styling.

But the biggest news of the night is that The Muppets Mayhem took home the Emmy Award for Outstanding Children’s or Family Viewing Series, which is not only extremely well-earned, but a huge “I TOLD YOU SO” to whoever at Disney made the poor decision to cancel the series after just one season.

Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners!
